Hey ukalipt, is that the right schedule? Due to the short World Cup style course Blue Gum racing usually splits the grades..

It is also different to the schedule on www.wsmtb.com

I have family that needs to be at three places on Sunday and we need military precision planning.

are all the 10:30 races starting at the same time?
i normally race U13 but as that is not very long i then also race D grade.
will this still be possible?
cheers.

Thanks guys,
As a fat slow old man with a 10yo son, I'll be there all day. Looking forward to it.
Don't worry Blue Gum Lodge is one of the best tracks to spectate at cause everything is only a short walk away. It's definitely worth watching the 'Palletive Care' section when the A & B Grades are racing.

All the 10:30 races will start with 2min gaps between each category. So at this race you will have to choose between U/13s or D Grade.
The modified loop the U/13s, U/15 girls and Novice do is the same track as everyone else minus the 'Palletive Care' section which goes right down into the valley and has a tiring climb back out.
I just looked at some results from the race at Blue Gum Lodge last year and the U/13s winner took 29mins compared with the winner of the last club round at Yellomundee who took 11.31mins. So think you will get a good length ride in U/13s.

Yep about 4.5km.

The track is looking hot! It's been raked and the grass sections have been mown to decrease drag.

Weather: morning drizzle

It's the same track we used for the State Champs there last year. After the club round but before the state round a little extra (200m) was added down in valley of the palletive care section. Besides that it's been the same layout for the last few races.

WSMTB Rnd 4 Results

Thank you to all the trail fairy's who put in so much effort to clear the track,
set up the bunting, witches hats, kids race area etc.
You did such an amazing job considering this course isn't ridden on very
often throughout the year.

On the same note how good is Blue Gum Lodge.
One of the most rewarding courses around, it zaps you constantly but makes
it worth it every lap

Results are online here
Hope to see everyone again for Round 5 at Yellomundee - Sunday 22nd August 2010

I just wish I relate the speed of results in to lap times.

I want to go back to that track again, and again, and again
