I am now looking for a straight 400 thompson to replace the layback after the weekends racing. I find I need the saddle pretty far forward on the layback post to be in the correct position, I would prefer to have a straight post, and the saddle slightly back if needed. Will post up my post in for sale/swap.Keep us updated on how the layback thomson works out for you. I'm also running a layback thomson and considering switching it for a straight post.
