I gave up on them years ago... Kids are annoying en masse. Plus I dont do crowds. Last one was the BDO in Melbourne when Rage Agasint the Machine played (good gig, but not as good as the one in a small venue in St Kilda in 1994...). And I only went to that because I got free tickets and lived in walking distance.Never again.
I think a festival is just a get-together for people with music playing in the background nowadays. It really really was... Spent the afternoon at the Espy when it was still cool, wandered across and was blown away.Rage Against the Machine in 1994 would have been amazing!!
For sure. Just getting into the whole "math rock" thing. Been listening to a lot of Battles & Don Cabellaro too.
Seeing these guys live next month; looking forward to it.
