Never again.
I gave up on them years ago... Kids are annoying en masse. Plus I dont do crowds. Last one was the BDO in Melbourne when Rage Agasint the Machine played (good gig, but not as good as the one in a small venue in St Kilda in 1994...). And I only went to that because I got free tickets and lived in walking distance.

I think a festival is just a get-together for people with music playing in the background nowadays. You could spin someone's Ipod and probably have the same effect I reckon.
I gave up on them early in the 2000's but my wife had never been so we went to the Gold Coast Big Day Out when The Prodigy said they'd come back. Their show was good but I couldn't wait to get out of that place, what miserable day loaded with obscene idiotic morons.
Rage Against the Machine in 1994 would have been amazing!!

It really really was... Spent the afternoon at the Espy when it was still cool, wandered across and was blown away.

That and Nick Cave at The Forum on the No More Shall We Part tour are ties for the best concerts I've been to.

Got the marilyn manson discography on play while riding (mixed with some other music) but, damn, MM has some serious music development over his career.... I know the pig will be pilloried for this... but, Bowie style development (stolen... copied)

For sure. Just getting into the whole "math rock" thing. Been listening to a lot of Battles & Don Cabellaro too.
Seeing these guys live next month; looking forward to it.
