What did you do TO / WITH / FOR your bike today!

Modern flats have evil looking pins. I don't feel good on flats anymore considering I didn't like the idea of being clipped in once upon a time.

I have KKT not marks on my shins from BMXing along time ago too. It is so easy to take a chunk out of yourself.
I have some cheapie flats I got ages ago that have sharp evil pins - these ones are less vicious. Hopefully they’ll hurt less...

Yeah, I’m on it. I’ll have a poke around the shops this weekend and see what fits.
I went the 510 freeriders at everyones suggestion but they were hard to find online and expensive ($200) but have been awesome and held up very well. I did try on some specialised 2FO shoes locally too and reckon they would have been great as well and a lot cheaper. Let us know how you go.

All this talk of pedals, had an event this morning even while running clipped in. Lost both feet and ended up riding the back wheel on the inside of my leg off a 2nd drop, and took a chunk out of my shin. Think its time for new cleats!

Otherwise, awesome ride on the Silvan trails. Felt mostly on point and crushed a couple of PB's, even in slippery conditions.

Right, so that confirmed I need 510s and walking shoes do not cut it... Combined with the mental challenge of “trusting”’the pedal to not slip...

Anyone know how sizing compares to Shimano sizing? I’m reliably a 43 in Shimano mountain and roadie shoes.

Hurts. Requires Money. And is nerdy.
Sizings all over the shop. You need to try them on,
I’ve owned three pairs of 5-10’s, some kestrel laces (tightest of the three, can’t wear them.), some impact VXi’s (waaaaay too loose. Feet swim) and a new set of flat pedal ones, can’t remember model name, that fit very well. All the same size shoe, three very different fits.

Bugger... Shimano is reliable to buy online, all their 43 fits me.

Right then, off to the shops to use them as a fitment service...

Awesome. So you’ll go into a store, try on their shoes, waste their time then go buy online or you mean you are going to try and buy?

Depends if they’re competitively priced or not. I’ve spent plenty there over the years, they’ll cope.

Or I just get some Shimano flat pedal shoes online...

Old and hopeless
Fixed my slow dropper... it just needed some air, wizzing up now, oarsum.

We did a nice evening lap of Lysty. Hardly anyone out, with only one fat eGuy. Sue was in the zone on the downs, she’s a good climber and usually conservative descending, but tonight, she wasn’t far behind. Then beer.

I've found the sizing pretty good to US sizing. Im a 9US and my 510s are 9 and they fit well. Your welcome to bring some socks and give them a go to see how your foot fits.
