I was only there for a week in July, 8th - 15th...nowhere near long enough lol. Schleyer was definitely one of my favourites. In Deep was also really cool, pretty hard rock roll drop too which was awesome to hit...not exactly smooth though haha

With a properly setup hardtail they are just as competitve as cruisers. I've been running an STP for the last couple of years and even raced the nationals earlier this year. Easily made quarter finals and should've made semis but screwed up 3rd straight while in 4th...whoops :D

A good friend back in March had a major crash in bmx in Canberra landing on the back of his head/ shoulders. Yeah track was a lot of fun. I just bombed, legs were shot so couldn't hold much speed through the peddly sections in the middle. Gotta fix that!!

I've been racing my hardtail for the last 18mths in cruiser class and I'm even taking it to the nationals in Mt Gambier in 2 weeks. It's classified as a cruiser even at the big meetings so long as the bars are no wider than 740mm and the wheels and tyres are no larger than 26" fully inflated...

+1 to that. If its trail riding, dj'ing I'd have the rebound just slow enough that it doesn't "spring" back. For Bmx though I have it a bit slower again to try and reduce fork movement with the compression as hard as I can get it. Only running coil sprung argyles I have the compression knob on...

Gates on hardtails are awesome haha. Tyres i'm using are geax mezcals, purely for their small bag size. I think they're 1.9's but they measure just a fraction under 26". Luckily they don't grip too bad either :D

Nationals Mt Gambier Just received confirmation from Bmxa that my mtb is eligible for nationals so long as it conforms to a couple of measurements. Bars 29" and wheels fully inflated 26" or less....it's now go time lol

Just into the final run to our bmx state titles on feb 18/19 and then 4x nationals at Eagle Park. Big numbers and fast riders entered for states in my age with a few interstaters coming over. Really stoked for 4x as i won my class last year and i'm super keen to see if i can back it up again...
