Yes. I’m sure the 4.8’s were a bargainLove it! More rubber on the 26", better bang for your bucks!

Ironically... these WERE the first Surly Bud 4.8" tyres landed on Australian soil back in 2012, I had them shipped from Alaska.... I remember laughing at the time that for the 2 tyres shipped to Aus, I could have bought 4 new tyres for my missus Mitsi Lancer.Love it! More rubber on the 26", better bang for your bucks!
If it were up to the industry, we wouldn’t have the choice.I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again. One bike cannot do it all.
26, 27.5 and 29 here.
All have their strengths and weaknesses. Depending on the location and how I’m feeling dictates what’s going to get ridden
Well at least not until we all converted over to [INSERT NEXT TRENDY WHEELSIZE HERE].If it were up to the industry, we wouldn’t have the choice.
They're ya go, real life comparison.Is there really much measurable difference in rolling diameter? I always thought 27.5 were really closer to 27 amd the half thing was just Giant marketing?
Never actually measured or checked.
Not much dearer but much more rubber. Win!I stand corrected. Not much dearer than most +tyres.

Indeed. All but useless for the riding I do though.Not much dearer but much more rubber. Win!
Went down Short & Sharp today. This statement is correct when applied to this trail.I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again. One bike cannot do it all
Yeah, 15-20mm is everything once you’ve been convinced it isIf 27.5 is dead*, so be it, but ain't no way I'm going back to those tiny little 26" wheels.
* it isn't
It’s how you use them...Tiny, TINY little wheels!
that bad?Went into Yarra Valley Cycles this morning to look at all the pretty things this morning. You could be forgiven for thinking that no one released any 27.5 bikes for 2020...
