Just the motivation I need. Have been toying with the idea of getting a gym membership for a few weeks now. Current weight is 83.0kg, I'm 6'1" so not too bad. Don't care about the weight, I just want to get rid of the spare tyre and beef up. Maybe a photo comparison is better for me? I'll take a couple of photo's but keep them in reserve for the end of this thread.

The biggest killer for me will be eating properly. I live a pretty hectic lifestyle so KFC, Pizza Capers and bakery breakfasts are all part of it.

Current measurements -

Hips - 87cm (34")
Waist at belly button - 91cm (36")
Pecs/Man Boobs - 97cm (38")
Biceps - 35cm (13.5")

OK...I'll give it a crack. I need some motivation and I really need to drop a few kg's before the 24hr. Have a gym membership, and go about twice a week, and ride xc about twice a week, but need to cut back on the beers and carbs, as I am not really gaining weight, but I'm not loosing it either. I'll start from Monday

Age: 28
Height: 5'10
Weight: 94kg
Goal: 80 - 84kg

Week 0 - 29/9/09 - 94kg
Week 1 - 6/10/09 -

Week 3 - 20/10/09 -
week 4 - 29/10/09 -

How's everyone going?
Hmm, I've been eating well, and doing exercise, but absolutely struggled to stay awake at work last night due to a lack of energy. My job involves a lot of walking and stairs, and I was really lacking the energy to put one foot infront of the other.

I slept 9 hours straight today, and only woke when someone banged on my door. That a record for me, which means my body is struggling a bit, so I've decided to not exercise today and consume a few more calories than normal. I suppose it's not too much of a blowout so long as I can get straight back on the horse tomorrow.

Sweet as mate. All good.

Try and regulate your meals and drag yourself to the gym or do some exercise. Generally when I head to the gym it's been after sitting infront of a computer for 8 odd hours so I'm feeling pretty lathargic. However after 10 odd minutes on the bike or tredmill I'm ready to go!

Keep it up.

Eating well, no sugar (unless it's natural), try and keep the carbs down (bread is my biggest weakness) no fatty fried foods, vitamins, all that jazz. So far I have gone from 91kgs to 86kg

Thanks, Zach.
Awesome work Zach keep it up.

Don't worry too much about bread so long as you're not eating a copious amounts of bread. Basically when I was in fullblown fat loss mode I'd eat 8 slices of bread a day and still managed to lose some hefty margins. However I was running every night (which is what you're doing)

Good work!

As for me... Busting my ass (5km on the tredmil, 20minutes on the bike and 20 minutes on the X-trainer) and eating quite possibly the plainest of plain food. If I don't don't end up getting to my goal or close to it in 6 weeks It'd be rather devoing.

I agree with Plow, bread ain't too bad. Just try and have the wholegrain stuff (same applies to other foods as well).

As of the 22nd I was 73kg. Wouldn't mind putting on about 2kg and bringing out my abs. Count me in.

Haha cheers Plow, if I do eat bread it is usually only ever 9 grain/wholemeal, and never after 5:00 p.m.
Hopefully joining the local gym next week as well, so I can have many gym sessions in the school holidays :).
