AliExpress postage times have improved 10 fold in recent years. 5 years ago it was 4+ weeks. My last order of some disc brakes, frame protector tape and a mudguard took 9 days. It's taken longer to post stuff from Adelaide to Melbourne with Auspost..

Yep, 100% agree on the postage times.

A couple of weeks ago I placed two orders on the same day:
AliExpress for some bar tape & a bunch of steerer spacers
Ebay for more steeerer spacers as I wanted some alu ones too.

The AliEx arrived a day before the Ebay one. Ebay was suposedly in "Sydney", but 99% sure the postage bag came via China on the same plane.

Now lets hope they #1 turn up and #2 are genuine

Ali cranks in the mailbox this morning.
Not happy with finish - kind of tumbled / media blasted over CNC machining. Also logo looked naff. Was thinking of pocket milling out just that logo but set up would of meant much fart arsing about. Have been happy with strength of most Ali products over the years (chainrings/ally and carbon rims and forks/stems/tubes) as far as strength. The only cranks i haven't broken over the years are my old profile steel ones though so will keep an eye on them.

They look like they have been cast rather than machined from a billet.

That's what Chinese manufacturing tends to do, even seen it with car cranks and they snap in a matter of months.

These still have modulation. They don't have servowave so not strictly on/off, just a much more positive bite point than non-swing link Sram

Curiosity got the better of me (and the time it takes me to make these takes almost as long as the postage for these from AliEx). Have trial fitted on some hose but haven't bled any brakes yet.

I bought both M5 and M6 fittings as I have a mix of brakes.
