All my Aliexpress MTB purchases reviewed.

Surely that’s genuine? What’s the Ali link?
Certainly looks genuine to me. My impression was new bike take-off or surplus stock. Being sold with spacer hardware and coils already installed usually hints at this. But until I get it installed and the bike built (probably around New Year's at this rate!) I can't promise it's 100% genuine - sure does look that way though.

Don't expect too much of a bargain however, but I was hunting that specific shock (and did well with a bunch of discount codes when I signed up + black friday, etc...).

Not a bad price if the spring is right for your weight not a good price if you have to buy another spring. I saw the Fox DHX 2024 on special last week for $600 no spring. My Fox DHX came with a 300lb spring I ended up with a 350lb spring. i wonder how stiff a 450lb/550lb spring would be. Maybe that is why they are unloading them.

I have a bunch of springs to suit already, so not an issue in this case!

Just received my first ever AliExpress bike parts order!

Valve cores
Silver polished tubeless valves
T-Handle allen keys
Handlebar bag
Electric pump
Vertical handlebar bells

I've fitted the bells, and that's all because the weather is shite and I've just bought a new PS5 :D

No idea re that one. I've got the digital Venzo/Giyo one from Cyclingdeal and they work well.

Yup, got one too. Does the job nicely. Price seems to have jumped though.

I got some stuff from Ali the other day, in the middle is the little red doodad that fits the hollow tech preload bolt thingy, best $3 I've ever spent! There's a 6mm hex in the end and a magnet so it stays attached to an alien key or inhex socket.
It also wasn't worth firing up the lathe to make a shock bushing tool as neat as the one next to it for $10.

The plastic surround holding the bar mounted bell snapped as I adjusted the bolt to retighten it.

The 3mm T-handle hex is too big for 3mm bolts lol

In other news, I've bought all this stuff and I can't be arsed fitting it all right now.

These cheaper T-handles quite often have a bit of a coating on them. A cheap set I bought from ebay was like this.

Bit of a light file and they fit more snug than quality ones.

If they have a ball end, don't trust it with any light hand torque. They will break off.

They do indeed have a ball end. Maybe I should have asked for some Wera for Christmas!

It's not too late!

EDIT: But to be fair, the cheap one are alright as long as you know their limits.

Otherwise a repco set is a good buy. It is what I have after making do with the ebay ones.

Now I have the added convenience of misplacing 2 sets of T-handles

I have a HF Wera set and they are very nice to use. The only issue I've ever had is with the plastic coating, you can't use them to adjust TRP spyre brakes because the hole is only just big enough for the 3mm key and the coating on the Wera keys prevents access.
So you will need more than one set, just in case you ever get a set of TRP brakes ;)

Edit: typos

Can anyone recommend 203mm brake rotors? Both 6 bolt and centre lock?
Are the shimano ones listed for sale all legit?
Has anyone used the 2.3mm rotors listed for sale such as ZTTO, etc.. Looking for something for the ebike and DH bike which have SLX brakes

I am also considering the Lewis heavy duty rotors but I'm not sure if they would be worth the money.

PS: It has been great to see that after 4 years this thread is still going !!

I've used the Ztto floating rotors without any problems. I just found this on AliExpress: A...Brake Rotor https://a.aliexpress.com/_mrXXtQL

I just use the centre lock adapters.

The Shimano stuff from the well known stores like Arancee is legit.
