Sigh.
Yep. It is disappointing.

It's staggering peoples' willingness to believe sound bites rather than past actions/policies/follow-through.We all feel like that until we find out that we do. Apparently he isn't like typical politicians and isn't afraid to tell it like it is.
One day you think they are a normal colleague at work, the next they start trying to convince you of QAnon theories, fake moonlandings etc etcHow does that work? I don’t think I know anyone like that.
I’m just starting to think Hobart isn’t far enough south…It's staggering peoples' willingness to believe sound bites rather than past actions/policies/follow-through.
The more divisive it is, the more it seems to resonate. Doesn't matter how easily the 'validity' can be picked apart, the 'hard down by' (sovereign-citizen adjacent) types just flock to it.
I used to have a riding buddy in Canberra who was into colloidal silver and chemtrails. It was weird. One day you think they are a normal colleague at work, the next they start trying to convince you of QAnon theories, fake moonlandings etc etc
China and Russia are ensuring anything further South is fucked, so you'll have to head to Mars with elmo instead.I’m just starting to think Hobart isn’t far enough south…
Yeah that’s been going on for a while. A whole lot of China’s “science” budget in the Antarctic is in geological mapping so they they know where all the resources are, and the Russians have casually sailing oil exploration vessels through. China is also a massive krill fisher as its bulk cheap protein.China and Russia are ensuring anything further South is fucked, so you'll have to head to Mars with elmo instead.
Australia labels Antarctic conservation meeting 'backwards step' after Russia and China block all proposals
At the meeting between 26 member countries, proposals to establish new marine protected areas and revise catch limits for krill are rejected, while existing krill management measures are rolled back. Australia says it's a "backwards step", putting the Antarctic ecosystem at risk.www.abc.net.au

Eeb ?You'd like to think it wouldn't happen here but half the guys I ride with are in the Trump camp..
We have them inside the family and friends. How does that work? I don’t think I know anyone like that.
I bet that was a mood killer…A few months ago I was laying naked in bed with a woman at about 1am. I wouldn't have expected her to have any surprises left when suddenly, out of the blue, without context...she expressed a hope for him to win the upcoming election. I was so confused.
I just remembered a particular episode of Californication that the pood's story reminded me of. IYKYKI bet that was a mood killer…
I bet that was a mood killer…
Speaks more the paucity of "celebrities" willing to publicly endorse and campaign with Trump that they're going nuts for him. He can't deliver speeches for shit and has all the charisma of those AKSHUALLY memes.Sigh.
If Trump loses he's gonna drop Elon like a white hot turd.
It's fair to say we are just a bunch of random people that came together riding bikes in the same place. It has opened my eyes to what exists outside my typical social circle. I mean I knew Pauline Hanson voters existed but I am still surprised I can't convince these guys Trump is not good for the world. There is a lot of anti-everything rhetoric, trans, gays, environmentalism etc. I think I lot of these guys are rebelling against "dogooders" telling them what to do and that they know better. I can understand that to a point. Hopefully we never get to the well I did warn you what would happen stage. How does that work? I don’t think I know anyone like that.
