Quality costs billions of dollars. Billions of dollars that GM don't have. Globalisation is where it's at.

Sweet Georgia Brown! There's nothing that conjures up images of Malibu better than a picture of an uninspiring sedan in the blandest most uninspiring of metallic shades, set against a background of concrete, glass, steel and failed urban renewal.

I do think the Malibu is a bit bland too.

I thought I had better bring us all some "excitement" - Accord style!

Who else has this as a poster up on their bedroom wall? I know I have.

I had this, but was so excited it kept me awake.

One can only assume this was taken on a Cemetery driveway.

and the walking penis is back. Took you since Friday to think of a witty little comment.

Also the euro is the pick of the range. You just showed how little knowledge you have about cars. Back you go to the stealership I think they want to sell you the off road pack so your Korean nastymobile is ready for the jungle that is your local council estate

What the hell's behind that little outburst Capone. Did somebody steal your lollipop?

Seriously though, stop acting like a bloody child or you'll be copping a banning.

EDIT: just went back to Fridays page and reading the whole Honda Accord vs Hairdresser's 4WD argument made me feel like i had been kicked in the head by a horse.

SCblack - you're on notice too. Act your f***ing age!

Seriously, how old are you? I've been reading through the 'highlights' of yourself and SC's shit-fighting and it seriously makes me wonder about the pair of you. You're both supposed to be grown up, educated men yet the shite that's thrown between you says very different.

It would be fine if any of it were even remotely clever or amusing but I've seen wittier ripostes from teenage girls!

How's about them Camrys, eh?
Get tae fuck! I booked a Dodge Charger for my rental car when I was in the states last week and they gave me a bloody Camry.

To be fair it wasn't exactly a bad car and whilst the paddle-shifts were a bit ridiculous on a sedan, they were fun to play about with. Still, it was no Charger and thus my long-held dream of being in a Dukes of Hazzard style car chase was left unfulfilled...

In their defence, they both begin with a 'C'.

I tried pretending it was one of the 'Camrys' that they race in NASCAR (and to be fair the other drivers on the local freeways certainly did their best to help recreate the Daytona 500 experience) but it was no use. Trip ruined!

You do have a lot of trouble with one tonne ute transmissions because people have a habit of putting 1 tonne in the tray and then towing 1.5 tonne behind it . They never understand why .
Bzzzt, had never carried a load greater than a single motorbike in the tray before the first trans went. We were then told not to tow with it; bit of an issue with a vehicle bought with a heavy duty tow pack with the intention of towing a tandem trailer load of crated motorcycles.

Well at least you've moved on from cyber stalking my posts with woeful inelegance :thumb:

Back on topic, I'm not supporting a bail out, but was just listening to a podcast about the USA bail out of GM. As I understand it, the govt bought stock as a bail out (boo, hiss, socialists!!), but later sold back the stock. It cost about $10b to do so, but figures suggest it saved $1.9m jobs on the year of the bailout and the following year. Lost tax revenue, social security etc would have cost $42b to support those unemployed workers.
Looking forward to seeing what Tony does, and how it works out over the next few years.
