I freaked out at the article because like you guys, you've probably had those rides when you pushed real hard and dug deep. Usually my 30 minute interval can get me a bit puky (only puked once) if I absolutely push it hard, otherwise there have been some endurance rides that have shredded the legs. After reading though, I don't think I even came remotely close.
