Ive got my money on Cadel this year,
I dont think his team knew what he was really capable of last year and this year they will give him a chance.
Will they? Really? Is he not sharing a team with Robbie?

Davitamon-Lotto will go for the green and only throw a few peanuts towards their GC rider. I mean, who would you spend your $$ on? Someone who has already brought home a few jerseys, or someone with a bit of promise, but few big results.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see Cadel do it, but with their roulers burnt from the flat stages and no-one to help him smash it in the hills, he'll struggle.

I wonder if I can get the first stages when I'm in NZ ...

I’m starting favour Valverde, after Vino had a not so great Dauphiné Libéré. But Astana have got second rider in Kloden who can step up to plate if the race goes pear shape for Vino.

But Team CSC is the big unknown. Their best team going around, but is Sastre up to winning.

Cadel can win. But he has to be conservative in the first two weeks. Finish in the top 5 in all the important stages, no attacking. Then attack in the last mountain stage. Put in a good time trail in the second last stage and he could find himself riding into Paris in yellow.

If Robbie racers like he did last year, he could have green wrap up by end of the first week, leaving Prodictor to work for Cadel. Besides Robbie doesn’t need a huge train to get him to the finish. And if he does, he just uses another team’s, like he did Giro with Milram. :D

Vino for the win, with Kloden ready to pick up the slack for Astina if he falters.
Robbie for the green!
Rasmussen for the polka dot.
Rogers for the top placed Australian.

Its going to be a very tiring july...

Who'd be a DS. You'd have to plan your team keeping in mind not only who was available, what the course was like, what you're priorities were, who your support dudes should support - but also who was likely to be pinged before/during the race and who your understudy might be.

sheesh.

I reckon Vinokourov will be a man to watch in the mountains, with his usual insane attacking style.. And Cadel...? Personally i think his tactics and know how will have developed from last years learning curve. Maybe he will be more of a driving force?

As for Robbie, i think he'll be the same as every other year... Fast as!! Apparently, (from reading this in some other forum nowhere nearly as cool as Farkin) the Prologue has some tricky turns in it?? Is this true?

Oh and chicken man (rasmussen) will be there too. Actually no... he'll be miles ahead when the road goes..well... UP!
