i would suppose the correct terminology for my particular bike would be a fixie/singlespeed given that it, like most of the current crop have a single cog with a flip flop hub. it could however be converted to a geared bike I assume. I was just surprised by the buyer seemingly having no knowledge of "fixie" style bike prior to enquiring. It's like enquiring about a rally car and asking if it's an automatic.
 
Truck drivers will be redundant pretty soon anyway, let them have their creature comforts.
Not in Oz. Not ever. There are no alternatives to road trains and oversized heavy haulers. There's a lot more to it than steering and stopping, which is about the limit of self driving crap.
