A bent cage can tweak the upper (guide) pulley out of whack enough to affect shifting. The tighter the sprocket spacing, the less tolerance there is for misalignment. The alignment of the top pulley in relation to the cassette is what bring precision into the shifting. The top pulley must be in line with & parallel with the cassette.
I fail to see what the bottom pulley position has to do with anything, within reason.
Lost all credibility at 1:43 haha
Geez dude, slap a warning label on that thing

I'm still on 2x10 heaven, was nearly tempted a few weeks ago when I saw the Deore come up on bikebug but then remembered I'll need the micro spline hub for the Hopes.Fixed.
He'll just put it down to quirky as all of his videos are fairly well edited.Dingbat also gets up/downshift arse about....
Do you mean 20x110 heaven?I'm still on 2x10 heaven, was nearly tempted a few weeks ago when I saw the Deore come up on bikebug but then remembered I'll need the micro spline hub for the Hopes.
Hope and DT Swiss are some of the better priced microspline freehubs. Industry nine and Chris King, not so much.I'll need the micro spline hub for the Hopes.
So what? Doesn't change the fact that he's wrong on up vs down shift. He'll just put it down to quirky as all of his videos are fairly well edited.
Cayley is an ex-pro MTBer, started WorldWide Cyclery on his own in 2011 when he was 21, had a massive eBay shop running too for quite a few years.
Not sure how many videos he has on YouTube but he's got 150,000 subscribers, some of his videos are pretty good.
25 million US turnover a year in 2019 or 2020
No, it was a typo; he meant 3x10.Do you mean 20x110 heaven?
So he probably doesn't give a shit... leave him a dingbat comment and give him thumbs down, add another view to 540,000 who have already watched itSo what? Doesn't change the fact that he's wrong on up vs down shift.
I have (20 x110) x2 too.Do you mean 20x110 heaven?
I have one of those too, I'm saddened to see 3x leave to be honest. No, it was a typo; he meant 3x10.
Eh, up/down has always been a bit vague on bikes. I remember years ago a fair bit of cycling press would refer to it the way he is - e.g. shifting “down the cassette” rather than shifting “up a gear”.So what? Doesn't change the fact that he's wrong on up vs down shift.
Can I book your services throughout the year? I would like rain at very specific intervals.About to ride to work...rain has arrived.
