Little Things You Hate

Note to self, don't bother with Orange Seal again. FFS.

Dry in less than 4 weeks. Admittedly it's been fucking hot on occasion, but Stans never dried out this fast.

And, of course, I'm not home. The only options in Griffith are unreliable blue crap, or more Orange Seal. $40 bucks for a quarter of the quantity I can get online.
That's been my experience in Qld, seals the big holes well but dries up in half the time.

Isn't that why they also sell an endurance version?

Personally, I've gone back to tubes. Filled with latex...

Most of the reluctance to just buy more Orange Seal is the very real possibility tonight would turn out to be my only chance to ride this week.

Hard to find a bike shop that stocks sealant but doesn't have Stans, even if its the little 2oz/50ml bottles for $12-$15 each

Can't be any worse than what you've got going on there....

EDIT: Even my joke was shite. Bloody corrosion inhibitor instead of antifreeze 🤦‍♂️

25 years without a driving ticket and just lost half my licence cos wife decided to put her seatbelt under her arm and got nabbed by a camera over xmas. cant really argue, offence and safety issue is clear
I agree that seatbelts should be worn but photographing it is just revenue raising.

Farkers ! You and the wife both fined and points for her wearing it incorrectly ?

I run Radarbot or Waze in the car every trip these days, just as a warning to make sure I'm not doing anything that could be construed as illegal.

Only the registered vehicles owner gets fined you can fill out a stat dec on the back of the infringement notice nominating the correct person to get the points / fine if you choose.

There is actually a nice little market in selling your points to people that would lose their license - they pay you a fee on top of the fine amount to take the hit - or you can have your vehicles in a company name no points or penalty for the driver but the fine is 5 times the amount

I did hear it's $1000 for a seat belt offence in QLD! With the cameras if the seat belt in not visible it is a fine. Technically you could have a jacket that's covering up a correctly worn seat belt and you will get fined.

the picture puts cross hairs on the person in the car it nabbed, but points go to the driver. and claiming she was actually the driver would not be possible as im literally twice her size. Fine doesnt bother me so much since all accounts are shared but the thought i could do something dumb in the next 3 years and lose my licence does bother me

No! If you have a correctly worn seat belt it is in the outside of the clothing - you could however drape a blanket or shawl over yourself and get pinged - oh and the kicker here the only way to get the ticket removed is by providing new information that proves you had your seatbelt on - the picture they send you is already deemed to be proof you didn’t so you can’t use it to argue your case until you go to court and hope the judge agrees with you

Why would that not be possible? Do your state government overlords have weight and height statistics linked with photos of your and your wife? How could they prove that it's not your wife driving and her daughter/ friend/ relative in the front seat?
