That's a good idea.

Cyclists (and I don't like the term "cyclist") for some reason are not even seen as human, or at least so rich guy on a bike. A campaign that shows riders that are Mums and Dads, and as you said, football players and even tradies. There are definitely people from all walks of life that ride.

It would be nice if we could get a fleet of self riding robot cyclists that could be knocked down without consequence just get some of these cunts off the road.

Not a little thing, I'm pretty mad and a bit unhappy. Three complete knuckle draggers drove their 4WD bogan mobiles into town and ran over as much wildlife as they could. I had 2 wombats living in the scrub on my block that spent time eating beside the road. I think they were both killed. These dickheads killed at least 10 wombats within a few hundred metres of my place. It looks like they got a couple of roos and a koala nearby.
Over Christmas there was a couple of nights with multiple wombat deaths nearby which the locals put down to tourists. People are now thinking maybe it wasn't tourists.

I think it needs to be more targeted towards the demographic where a lot of the hate comes from.

I look at that poster from a bogan/revhead perspective and I just see a bunch of lefties which they hate almost as much as "cyclists".
You need a tradie in HighVis, a prominent footy and cricket player, a V8 Supercar driver, a fisherman, sports shooter and any other interest group that the majority of the demographic that most of the bike hate comes from.

I've seen the same level of hatred in the comments of social media campaigns politely asking that road workers not be abused or injured / killed by drivers. Lots of "well they don't do anything anyway / they make me late / waste my tax dollars / get off my road" sentiments that look eerily similar to anti-cyclist hate.

I think it just comes down to there's a lot of insecure, pathetic little manlets and whatever the female equivalent is that once in a car actually feels some level of power that cannot be denied by anyone or anything. Explains a lot of the incredibly shit driving habits you see on a daily basis. Reckon a few lifetime driving bans for dangerous or culpable driving causing injury / death might help - never being able to legally drive again would really fuck the average manlet bogan up and might make them consider the consequences of their actions. Maybe.

Sure, I too see plenty of comments complaining about roadworks and I wouldn't be surprised if they also comment about the poor state of the roads as well.
Again, like most things, it comes down to the, "I don't do (insert activity here) so I hate it" mentality, that is a shit stain on humanity.
