Little Things You Hate

I'm not sure whether to be amazed or scared shitless by your rants, so I made this. A chilling prediction of the future.

.......they had a swarm of pure skank waiting outside Channel 7's sunrise waiting to see the kvntish kardashians...

it was interesting to notice that all the "people" who were waiting for the kardashian kvnts were themselves kvnts. With the majority being fat, stupid (come on they were waiting for hours to see a kvnt), and obviously close to being flicked into the middle of the sun when the pig comes to power (current calculations show that the sun would "live" for another 3 millenia if the mass of kardashian fans was transferred to it - so, you know, its, like, totally worth it)
I actually walked past the studio this morning on the way to work. They were all 12 years old, lots of emo's or try hard failed faux punk looking girls. You're right, most of them were fat.

I was walking through Martin Place wearing my Wallaby jumper - the one with QANTAS emblazoned on the front. I was hoping to cross some of the "occupy" losers, and yell at them: "I AM THE 1%." Alas I did not come across any.......:mmph:

Battlefield 3. So much potential, and almost none of it fulfilled. It feels like we are playing an unfinished product and it comes nowhere near to standing up to the gameplay standards of the battlefield franchise.

I just found this and though it was relevant. Just so you know, I had to ask my sister if it was one of the aforementioned demons.

I also recently read an article that said more people know who Snookie is than people who know who Carl Sagan is.

Um, the gameplay is the same as it ever was and evolved a bit more. It sounds to me like you're getting owned on the game and not liking being down the list..............:eek:range:

what's a Snookie? isn't it one of those ridiculous reversed dressing gowns? and i thought a Kardishan was something your grandma knitted for you that you were embarrassed to wear in front of your friends....

I'd be embarrassed to wear one in front of my friends, that's for sure.

I'm usually sitting in the upper half of the scoreboard and I've aced or top 3 a few times, so that isn't really the problem. And if I'm not, it doesn't really concern me-I like a challenge to work with. I miss bf2 and bf2142. The whole thing feels simplified. Loss of commander system is sorely missed. In the old ones a team with decent commander and squad leaders would dominate. And there was decent capacity for a mic system.

The health and vehicle regen is ridiculous. It reduces the need for specific roles, reducing the need for teamwork. And squad play.A vehicle previously needed an engineer to keep it alive, which meant a support/medic aswell to keep the engineer alive. And all of you had to work together. The tank would provide the majority of the firepower, while the two soldiers could capture, root out hiding soldiers, spot, etc etc. Teamplay was required and damn good fun. Now, if the tank is damaged or you are hurt, just hide for a bit and you are good to go again.

The destruction has been toned down from bc2. Cities are no longer turned into smoking craters and rubble. In fact most stuff appears not to be destructible. Which is a lot less dynamic.

The game has a lot more run and gun arcade feel to it, as opposed to the team based tactical shooter battlefield has previously been. It is a lot more accessible for players new to the franchise, but has lost depth on the way. For all the hype and demonstrations EA made of it being the gameplay sequel to bf2 including destruction, it really isn't.

Then we factor in the bugs. Oh the bugs. Server drop outs, slingshot bodies, "battlefield has stopped working", floating bodies, rubber knife (again), hardcore damage system where a 6ft drop kills you, hollow rocks (mostly fixed from beta but still weird). The lag issues have been fixed remarkably rapidly and that is a impressive. But Forums are full of PC players trying to figure how to make the game work. All this feels like unfinished game rushed onto the market to meet a deadline. I'm sure this will get fixed up in patches but in the mean time is really irritating. And the HUD sucks.

Still a fun game (in the event it works), but it lacks so much its predicessors did and it could have had.

THe teenagers that have had their car stereos cranked in the car park next to my house every night this week.

Have some fuckin consideration.

Movies filmed in HD. There's one on the TV just now and it's bugging me (to be fair it looks like it'd be a shit flick in any format).

It all just looks too brightly lit and the frame rate always seems to be a bit freaky. We watched Public Enemies again the other night and it's 'groundbreaking' use of HD just made it look like 'behind the scenes' footage from Underbelly Razor. The Pacific was the same.

HD works great on Documentaries and on Sports but I think i prefer my films to be a bit more cinematic.

Try changing the settings on your tv. Blu ray movies look funny ( frame rate etc) on my Sony LCD unless I put the tv into theatre mode, then everything looks normal.

Nah this the case with every HD film no matter what telly its on - i watched Public Enemies in the cinema when it first came out and thought the same. Its a lighting issue i reckon.

No it is you. Too many burst vessels in the eyes from all that diving.
