Can somebody tell me I don't need to spend $300 plus on pedals.

Sure thing sir.

Who 'da thunk a USD $229 Yoshimura pedal could be considered a bargain compared to even more costly pedals.

The dentists rejoiced and promptly booked in a few gnarly black diamond root canals without anesthetic.

One Up clip(less) pedals. Interesting. SPD compatible but I have found my feet pop out at bad times. Price is high too.

Why bother?

Time Speciale 8s are less than that ($142) and have adjustable release tension and proper floating cleats.

A wireless update for XTR is due very soon so I'd say it's legit. Cranks look a bit weird though, the subtle, slick look of previous XTR has kinda gone.

Agreed, XTR has usually been less logo'd than others in the range with a slick finish and a classy logo. Certainly a flip if real.
