My Yeti 575

My Yeti 575 25th Anniversary setup for AM riding.

My first Yeti ever! Always wanted one, saw this baby in a shop as a frame set and rest is history. :)

Taken today after my first ride on it. This ain't no Garage Queen... *cough* unlike my Demo9 *cough*! :p

Cheers.

I love this thread!

My and my best riding budies All Mountain rigs. We have here from left to right:

2010 Giant Reign X1
2009 Giant Reign
2010 Transition BottleRocket w/ bits from 2009 to present. (Still my dream bike!)

All very nice and taken an absolute beating.

Anyone who is running a single chain ring should get on board with the Saint Short Cage rear mechs. So strong, fast and smooth. My favourite upgrade.

Whats the definition of an 'all mountian' bike? Something that isn't a race bike? Is it different from 'free ride' or am I showing my age? No one seems to use the term free ride much anymore.

All Mountain is pretty much what it says.

A bike that can ride all of it, up and down.

My Avanti Torrent 2 in the Alps (mont Blanc in the clouds in the Background)- this was taken at 2450m, and we had a 20km run down from here all the way back to our village at 700m.

We have just got back from our annual trip- this is the 5th summer I have ridden over there, the fourth bike, and this was the winner. Maybe it is just the way bikes have improved over the last few years, but as an allround bike that was awesome on the descents and also a great climber, this beat my old Stumpjumper, 2007 Reign and my old Scott Genius. A great bike- spec as new except a tyre change and a replaced rear wheel.....

Wheels are good not the lightest out there but I havent had any problems with them and the hope pro II Evo hubs are great as always.
In the end though they are pretty much just MTX 29 rims
