Rocky Trail's Rollercoaster - All Mountain Racing Series

Come with us to the Del Rio Resort at Wisemans Ferry on 18 March and to Stromlo Forest Park on 17 June! All you need is your bike and speed weapon of choice. We'll shuttle you to the top and unleash you onto fun, challenging and fast tracks that will suit downhillers and cross-country riders alike. We are offering Elite, Expert, Masters and Junior categories and there will be B-tracks with lower start lines for Kids, Junior and Sport racers.

Our all-mountain races are best of both worlds – a blend of gravity and endurance, as well as downhill and cross-country racing.

The race tracks will have a combination of downhill sections with wicked berms and flowy trails, but also sections to pedal, recover and for the cross-country endurance racers to shine.

Hey Marty,
what about a shuttle for the master,s on the b-track?
oh, and a free bottle of oxergen?
B-track will be VERY beginner friendly. I am thinking 8 year olds and first time bike riders. If you have a Rotorburn account you have enough skills to ride the A-track :)

This is the best innovation to happen to MTB racing in a long time. For those who can, get on board and support this.

I was hoping something like this will happen at Del Rio. Can we have a bit more info about the tracks? Is the A track basically the state/club DH track? Or this there something new?

Cheers

The A-track is the downhill section of the 24 hour track. It is also sometimes used as club downhill but with a different start section. In addition we will use the bottom loop that we added last year. We will head out there this week to do some trail maintenance.

In the registration information it says you must have an MTBA licence. will day licences be available for the usual $20.00 or whatebver?

Also what is your plan in regard to the floods etc? The SES cancelled a big music festival at the site last weekend. Any refunds given if cancelled? $70.00 is a lot of money to just forfeit

You can get a day license when you register or on the day - it's $20.

We spoke to Del Rio guys and they didn't get flooded. There needs to be a lot more rain for them to be and it looks like the worst is over for now. If there is risk of flooding then the event will be postponed to a new date but at this stage this is quite unlikely.

Any helmet rules? fullface or regular xc helmets?

Also, does the A-track use any sections of the newer dh track? (The one that starts on the large rock slab, has a big wooden righthander halfway down, and the roadgap at the end) - Sorry It's just that I've never done any xc riding out there.

Regular XC helmets will do and we are nowhere near the new DH track - we are in the next valley.

Anyone coming to the Rollercoaster from Lithgow? For $20 you can get a ride with the bus company that's doing the shuttles. Let me know if you are interested.
