The 2020 Orange Alpine 6 is Totally Overhauled - But Looks Exactly the Same

Love Orange frames though never owned one .
Nice colour too I rate aesthetics fairly highly = I would never buy an ugly bike or skis.
Closest I get to Orange is my high single pivot hot rodded Santa Cruz superlight .
The simplicity of singlepivot , I dont really notice brake squat ....what ever it is.

Well done Orange, its style done without having to be deepthroated by it.
but how noisy is it, thats the 55 thousand million dollar question?

I’ll wager the same as all my later model oranges....like a tree falling in a forest with no one around.
The non monocoque rears are particularly quite. It’s rhe big hollow swingarm that tended to amplify any small noises.

Yes, I do realise you’re trolling, but meh.

Ken oath. The bushings in my knolly are so sensitive to the bolt torque and to contamination. I plan to actively avoid bushing bikes in the future. Its about the only reason i haven't bought a new fugitive!
Bushings tend to last longer but require tighter tolerances for just about everything.

Bearings tend to last less but are easier to work with generally.

My Nicolai used a combination of both because Germans. I had to re-tighten it once and that was it. Some people had issues with the main pivot bushing and the factory issued new ones with good results apparently.

I like this Orange. Too much bike for me but sweet.
