So what happens if I put normal dishwashing liquid in the dishwashing machine?
This was my assumption, bad for pumps etc like detergent in water slide or fountain.Don't do it. Normal liquid is designed to make heaps of bubbles that the machine doesn't need.
How do you mean a little? Like the same sort of squirt you'd use in the sink? Or much less?In all seriousness, Dr Karl in the past said it’s ok to use a little laundry detergent in the dish washer, I’ve done this a few times.

After a few months with no dishwasher I'm very happy to be home and using it again. I have plenty of correct stuff, but a curious unscientific mind.
