saw it on the weekend and enjoyed it for what it was. still i was a lil disapointed that they didnt have the full scene for when rorschach was being analysed by the phscologist(spelling) in the novel that was one of the best parts really gave u an insight on how rorchachs came to be. also no minge monster:p. still it was pretty sweet hope the release the full directors cut on dvd.

I absolutely loved it!!!

I am in the process of buying a copy of the Graphic Novel

If you're going to see it I reckon it helps to do a tiny bit of research and find out some of the back story before hand...

But overall it was really really good...

Y'see, now, if you actually read some books in your spare time, Watchmen might have been one of them, and you wouldn't have wasted your money.

What? Read comics written for children and obviously Farkers with no lives, shit I have wasted my life, might go buy a MTB comic so I can understand Montainbiking.

Considering you used the phrase 'their' in regard to superpowers in Watchmen, I think its safe to say your enjoyment level is roughly on a par with your level of understanding.
Understand this, I spent about half an hour trying to fall asleep while watching this disjointed piece of cinematic shit. I don't understand why people think it is so good, I love movies that jump around all over the place but it must be done for a reason. Movies like Donnie Darko, 11:14, Fight Club and Interstate 60 leave constantly knowing there is something great building and they deliver. Watchmen delivers the kind of dull story that I until now thought only M. Night Shyamalan could deliver.

Worst movie since Cloverfield!

Saw it just yesterday. Loved the special effects and wow the detail in the clothing and sets were outstanding. Action wasnt perfect material, though the blood and gore made up for it i guess. Sex scene was banging too. Rorschach was my fav no doubt.

"Pretty butterfly, flowers, ...clouds" HAHHAHAHA

Havent read the comics or any of that and still thoroughly enjoyed it. All it took was a bit of brain power to figure out what was goin on. I even missed the first 10 mins because the idiot movie ticket ripper dude wouldn't let me in with out foot wear (i just came from the beach). i didnt have any in the car so i made a sprint down the road to the op-shop grabed a pair of 7 girl sizes pink flower thongs ( im size 11, thats all they had). Ran back, walked up to him with the thongs in my hand, dropped the thongs, slipped them on, handed him my ticket, he ripped it, took five steps away, took the thongs off and walked into the movie theatre panting....by the way it was a working day, 9 people in the seats and did i mention it was at Nerang cinemas!!!
The ammount of idiotic pointless rules and guidlines people come up with, take them glasses off n have a look at the world.

:mad::mad: Rant over, god that felt good...

PINT of Stella. mate!

What makes you think Watchmen was written for children?
All comics are written for children, especially Alan Moore ones.

Why his very latest one stars the delightful young Dorothy from Wizard of Oz, Wendy from Peter Pan and Alice (of Wonderland fame) all grown up.

I've only seen the cover but it looks absolutely adorable and the artwork looks very wholesome. I may have to pick some copies up for the family xmas...

Beefcake...BEEFCAKE!!!
So much potential, so much awesome shit, and such a crap result. I had to piss so bad for the last half of the movie, which never would have happened if it wasn't SO FUCKING LONG!

Rorsarch was tops, as was Hot Chick and her lovely exposed breasts.

I think it was probably the best film I have ever seen period. For those that thought it was bad you probably didn't understand how deep the script and storyline actually is. It was amazing that it didn't go for 10 hours in terms of the depth.

Visually stunning, cast that you don't see in a lot of films and controversial concepts....brilliant.

And I haven't read the book either.

Finally saw it.

Liked how Snyder recreated images and scenes perfectly from the book.
Liked seeing the book come to life.
Liked how Snyder tried the impossible task of covering the history of the Watchmen in the opening of the film.

Didn't like:
The pumped-up, over the top graphic violence. Wasn't as graphic in the original book and wasn't needed.
Same with the sex scene... the book had a subtlety to it. Why did the film have to nearly venture into porn to get the message across?
The stylized fight scenes (fast shutter speed to slow shutter speed to Matrix style sequences...). I'm SO sick of it. Let's get back to basics, PLEASE.
Did they feel this was the only way to get the majority of the audience to like the film nowadays? Heavy on the sex and violence and overused stylization of fight sequences? Uck.

I was also a little annoyed that Dan and Laurie, at the very end of the film saw the future ahead of them very different to how they were at the end of the book (the book had them changing identities and appearances to leave the vigilante business forever). Wouldn't sell in the film I guess...
Lots of other little things I liked and disliked, but it'll bore the crap outta 90% of Farkin, so I'll skip it....

Overall? It was good. Not great, but good, all things considered. 7/10.
