You were lucky to have heating...Oh , and I had to get up in the morning and walk ten miles before dawn to get a lump of coal so we had heating ....
Haters gunna hate.C- for effort though? XD is an open standard but Shimano made Microspline. Couldn’t use the competitors standard.
Shimano don’t understand hubs, why would they understand drivers?Haters gunna hate.
I prefer to pretend Ispec doesn’t exist.I'm surprised no one's mentioned the various brake lever/shifter mounts..
I'll bite. I'm betting the competition don't adopt another competitors 'standard' and go ahead to make their own variant instead.Yeah good on SRAM for setting an excellent standard, one for the rest to adopt.
Oh, weren't you privileged.Oh , and I had to get up in the morning and walk ten miles before dawn to get a lump of coal so we had heating ....
But was it uphill both ways?Oh, weren't you privileged.
I had no coal and had to walk twenty miles in the dark to find sticks because we were too poor to afford sunlight
Did you wear roller skates instead of shoes? But was it uphill both ways?
They understand hubs alright, they just don't understand why anyone would have different cassette interface patterns...... (On the road side, they're about the only ones who don't offer Campagnolo-pattern drivers, so not adopting XD isn't a precedent).Shimano don’t understand hubs, why would they understand drivers?
Which by definition are NOT standards.Proprietary systems are the polar opposite of standard.MTB standards seem to be a free for all with healthy doses of manufacturer lock in...
Of course. I thought I saw you there also, but it was too dark to tell. But was it uphill both ways?
The great thing about standards is that there are so many to choose from.Which by definition are NOT standards.Proprietary systems are the polar opposite of standard.
We use ‘standard’ tongue in cheek. Saying it has just become the norm, and it shits me too.Which by definition are NOT standards.Proprietary systems are the polar opposite of standard.
The cycling meeja aren't so tongue in cheek, it's just plain fucking misuse. Closely followed by "enduro".We use ‘standard’ tongue in cheek. Saying it has just become the norm, and it shits me too.
Ummmm? The cycling meeja aren't so tongue in cheek, it's just plain fucking misuse. Closely followed by "enduro".
Edited 'cos I missed a letter....
