angle set

Iam running 170mm lyrik on mine so not so much a noticable seat angle , leanforward feeling. But is way more flip flop of bike side to side feeling . That took me awhile to ride no handed on .
And have had to turn with my hips whilst leaning bike over ( fabian barrel has a great video tutorial ).
Which made me faster and more stable. Than before . Its slowly becoming normal

Ah OK. I did consider going the formula EX at 170mm with the angleset coming, but thought well, I stick to 160 and see.

On turning with your hips - been working on that for a while. good advice. Basically I think of it as 'turn with my arse, jump with my arse' ;)

liteville 301

Well the ever evolution of the 301 goes on .
Im now waiting on set new side links so as i can run a 222x70 vivid air shock .
Super excited about this mod ,apparently I'll only need 170 psi in shock compared to the 300 psi im running on the shock i have now .

Feeling old
What wheel size/s are you guys running
Can you fit a 650b in the rear?
I keep meaning to borrow a wheel to confirm
It looks pretty tight with a 26'' and 2.35 rubber (mines a mark 10)

i have 650b fork running 26'' wheels and won't buy just a front wheel

It depends on your frame size, I got small frame and can't fit a 650b at the rear. M-L would fit I think.

I had a Mk11 in medium, but I couldn't fit a 650b rear wheel (30mm internal rim with a 2.35 Hans Dampf tyre). It was so tight the wheel wouldn't even spin.

I'm running XL mk11 with 650b rear. It'll fit a 2.35" vittoria, which is not much smaller than 2.5" maxxis.

Go on, try the scaled size thing :) You have the fork already...

My 301 is still in dry dock - waiting for me to rebuild my brake and stick a variospin in... soon!

I've got a new Liteville 301 frame on the way, and I'm a fat slob so lower shock pressure would be good. Where did you get the sidelinks? Are they an official Liteville product?

Did you consider an eBike? :spy:
welcome to motorburn! :llama:

@Oddjob - new 301! Pictures!! is it a mk14?

I'm about 105 kegs kitted and running ~220 pounds in the stock shock (mk11, so fox float) and one size up from the stock volume spacer - which seems to work for what I do (trail/AM, with an odd huck off the tall wooden thing at stromlo, so 4-5ft). I'd *like* a nicer shock but don't *need* a nicer shock. Whacking formula 35s up front seemed to balance it all out nicely, a super-supple fork suits the 301 well.

Mine is just back in action and I'm a stoked human right now.

An ebike wouldn't fix my dad body. I'm hoping the Liteville and Manly Dam will.

Nope a mk13 in works finish. It comes with a Monarch rt but I've got a Monarch plus on the way. I'm intrigued by the thought of a 222mm shock though. The drop in leverage ratio would really help.

Not sure on build yet but probably 26er with Fox 36 and XT 2x10 to begin with.

Hey side links are on order.and waiting to be manufactured .
with no set production date.damn
it's a long story but should transform bike as it's not ever been quite right .

As the new models address this ( leverage ratio to rider weight, shock size problem )
So if you're light weight rider there's no problem.
But If you are bit heavy then shock can't cope equals problem

So just in a long waiting line for some to be made
shall upgrade post as thinks transpire

Nice interested to see how shock goes on liteville what base tune did you get ?

As to side links I'll keep you posted
No idea on base tune. I got it second hand but it looks unused so I would assume that it would be the default. I'm pretty heavy so a medium tune would suit me anyway.
