All my Aliexpress MTB purchases reviewed.

Back in my weight weenie days I had a KCNC post light as. Landed a jump and heard a weird noise. Came to a stop to take a look and no saddle or hardware just a post with some ouchy looking bits. Never found the hardware but found the saddle and not far from home so scooted home on the top tube.

I will say that this is just for a static, non offroad seat post.

Most people trust Chinese brakes and wheels which can be equally catastrophic if things go badly!

ZTTO SLR3 12S Cassette 9-51T - 290g
ZTTO SLR 12S Chain - Waxed
LTWOO TX Shifter/Derailleur
Alloy Ceramic bearing pulleys

Cassette is about 50g lighter than the Garbaruk it replaced. Have the ZTTO chain across 3x bikes without issue. Cannot fault shifting with all new parts. Crisp and fast. Not bad for a $350 setup at all. Missing a few luxuries but don't affect day to day use

That’s a crazy low weight cassette. Interested to see how it lasts.

I've got the 10 speed SLR cassette on the Nicolai and it's been good. Probably won't last as long as the Microshift Advent X, but it weighs 150gms less too.

On a bit of an AliExpress roll atm. Wanted some 165mm cranks for the HT. For $110 with BB I thought why not. EVOSID cranks aka '1DEV' with DUV BB.

Don't want to put the mockers on you, but aren't they the ones that have had a spate of failures (haven't really followed it too closely, I think the jist was they're cast rather and machined from a billet, so some were snapping...)?

Didn't come across that saga, only the early gen genuine 5DEV snapping is all if seen.

Mine have been holding up just fine for the 8 months or so I have been riding on them. I am no muscle bound gorilla putting lots of torque through them and my air time days have long gone. 6" to 12 " is about as much air time I get these days. Possibly that might be an exaggeration.

The W/N Middleburn cog on my adventure bike has been toast for a while but $105 for the Pilo replacement, which I'll do at some stage.

Been looking at the Ali Ch-ingrid cranks and now see the some Cr-acto5 have appeared :p Anyone took a chance with the Ingrids ?

Ingrids are CNC'd so surely safe enough for a bike that doesn't leave the ground. Thats if they come CNC'd as they show on the picture and say in the description and not a cast mock up. I have experienced Ali in the past using the original manufacturers pictures and sending me a shocker.
