Confessions from the fuckwits

You're having a good run with the bikes...did you ride over a black cat under a ladder?

Cleaned, greased and went to reinstall lower headset bearing.

Dropped it as i was putting it in, all the tiny ball bearings all over the shed floor .

Now i need a new bearing, and have no idea what to get.

I know what you need... a cartridge bearing!

Propped my nice new carbon ride up against a tree yesterday and walked away from it only to hear the dreaded sound of carbon fibre hitting rock. Damn thing had fallen over onto some sharp rocks putting some nice gouges in the paint, carbon and forks. Thrilled :(

Is there any easy way to match the paint colours and do a respray on parts of the frame?

I know it's a MTB and scratches etc are normal, but it really hurts when they aren't the result of crashing on something respectably difficult (and being, like, on the freakin bike...). I didn't want her to lose her virginity this way...

Felt sick reading that, Rob...expecting it to end with more than just a scratch. Still sucks, but relieved it's only that. :faint:

So much ouch. I hope youre doing ok after the fall?

...and a rattle can full of matte black?

I have the matte black covered, but not the quirky shade of turquoise... But actually I don't even think it's black, more like some sort of smokey dark grey...

I think I need some time with a therapist...

Does this involve a gentle massage?

This kind of shit hurts. I've done helmets and pedals and...well none of it even comes close to this. E-hugs for you.

OK...use bed liner or pink primer instead cause chicks dig scars... apparently... maybe? It used to be cool...once.

It doesn't seem to be working for me. I might need different scars.

things could be worse - just be thankful you didn't get the wrong "secret Sauce" on your Maccas burger.
(Snopes be damned, It's just the kind of thing some sick F$#k might do)

A bike shop f*cked up during a service and scratched the living shit out of my Cinelli Ram seatpost on my carbon roadie.

They sent the post off to a carbon repair specialist (at their cost) who fixed the gouge and matched paint perfectly. This is in Sydney.

I can give you details if you want to go down that route.

That sounds like a very painful experience, at least you had someone to blame though and get it sorted. I reckon if I could get the paint matched I could do a passable job myself, so yes please shoot me their details.

Saw this bike on Gumtree today. Thought I should probably tell old mate that his forks are slightly off by about 180 degrees
