I don't know about this incident, but it is true that quite a few arsonists are actually firefighters.

Yeah of course, it makes sense. Quite a few are probably accountants, mechanics, sales assistants.... I have heard that many wankers repeat stuff like "heaps of people volunteer to the CFA so they can light fires then get called out to fight them" in the last week" or "they say 70% of bushfires are arson and 60% of them are lit by volunteer firefighters" that it just turns my stomach to see it splashed across the screen and papers.
The vast majority of them [CFA] are the ONLY line of defence between bushfire and us, and a huge proportion volunteer their time...they're fucking heroes and it is not right for a growing bandwagon of people to be shooting pointed glances at the fire fighting forces.

Dude, they do a fantastic job, I'm not disputing that. But the fact of the matter is my best friend for 10 years' old man was (and might still be, haven't spoken to him in a while) the head of the Warrandyte CFA for quite some time and has been a firey for over 30 years. HE told me that quite a lot of arsonists are/were actually firefighters. So I think I would be more inclined to believe him than someone who is putting up his wall on an internet forum with no actual knowledge, other than knowing that the majority do a good job.

I went to the fire relief game at the telstra dome on Friday night. And while we were having the minute of silence these ignorant bastards were talking a non stop. Not the people who were sitting down but the people who were walking around, they could of at least stopped walking and shut there fucking mouths for 1 minute.

Hmmm, im not saying that this guy is innocent, in fact I have no idea if he is guilty or not, but what the fuck do the media think they are doing. Trial by media, hes already guilty as far as they are concerned, then they argue that they want his identy and address published. What happened to innocent until proven otherwise? Hey all,
Currently its 12:06am and im sitting in Kinglake West fire station im doing night shift up here one of my crews is out on a job and my other crew is fast asleep in there swags, i just felt that you guys would like to know what is going on up here on this end of the mountain.
During the day we are using a grader (cat rental supplier free of charge) to put in containmentlines around any porential spots where the fire may flaire up, Also we have a 20 tonne excavator (Gray Bruni supplied this and the opperator free for 2 week) who is working the a tree lopper to fell any trees that are going to drop along all the road up here.
Cfa Crews are also conducting back burns at:
The end of Combe's rd south of kinglake national park which has containment lines placed around it and is safe/controled
Also there is a contoled burn in the pine plantion at the end of Watsons rd which has containment lines place around it and is safe/controled
Just as a interest iv got a folder up on my myspace with photos of the buttermens track (st andrews) flaire up yesterday arvo which the sky crane and another heli bomber was working.
Well iv got somethings to deal with, I might check in again tomorrow with an update of what is going on up here.
BTW: anyone who has been affected by the fires and needs a hand around there propperty in this area (Kinglake, st andrews) please let me know as i more then willing to lend a hand.

The prom is indeed cooking like a mofo. The front is coast to coast as of Tuesday night apparently. Gonna head straight towards Tidal River when these northerlys hit.
