Not sure if anyone here rides the Glenrock DJ's, but they are currently being worked on again by World Trail. This time the intent is to have dirt available to keep them maintained.

If anyone here is interested in helping, let us know at this thread http://glenrocktrailalliance.com/node/21369 . We do have to keep the NPWS happy with whats in there, so it is far from a free for all, but if we make this work we may well be able to expand in the future.

Few pics from today.

All table tops. That's one of the requests of the NPWS.

I personally think this is a great idea; allows more riders to try DJ without the potential risk/injury of coming up short on a double. If you can make the lander, what's in the middle is irrelevant anyway. If there's enough dirt, I say tables all the way!!

I agree, the problem we have found though is that unless dirt is stockpiled nearby, riders will take the centre out of the jumps to maintain the lips.

In no time you have gaps.

In glenrock there seems to be a bit of a battle between BMX and Mtb and the lips constantly change shape. With no dirt nearby they weren't table tops for long. We are hoping to solve that issue this time around.

Glenrock Mountaincross Trail?????

Lot of work today in the old tip site. Blank canvass and NPWS gave us the OK to go do what we want. We went in thinking about twisty singletrail, then got carried away with the machinery.

Heaps more photos at http://glenrocktrailalliance.com/node/21406

Tomorrow some technical alternate lines will go in.

Nice work,

Just a question do you know of any pump track in there area or close to the central coast

Its planned for the first quarry. The area sort of functions as one already, but it is in for some drainage fixes and tweaking to make it a quality pump track.

No time set though to get to those works.

So much to do, so little time.

Sweet the work you and they others are doing is really great and thanks heaps for helping to get MTBing more quality and legal trails

Hay guys just wondering how the trails are up in glenrock and wether it's worth driving up over the next couple of days

After the rain we have had, I would recommend staying off them.

The GTA website has regular trail condition update.

Okay cool wasn't to sure how much you had up there. I know sydney and Gosford had heads but wasn't sure about newie

Its been a little while since we have updated this thread.

some more work has been put in this week and BJ's is all set to re-open. Took longer than hoped, but the final product is worth it.

New retaining on the top berm (corner 1), logs and organic material are gone, replaced by rock.

The first rutted off camber section has been dug out and rock laid to allow it to drain properly. Should hopefully be a bit more technical now as well.
