Fixed....They make some good kit...Shame about the flogs running the company.
Hey fjohn, considering purchasing the Leatt Enduro 4.0 in a large sight-unfitted as I am also a huskier headed gent and wondered what helmets you have had in the past as a guide for fit. I normally run a Fox helmet and comfortable in a Giro or Smith but the TLD's just don't fit my head so curious to know what you have run in the past?So took a punt and bought a Leatt Gravity 4.0 "sight un-fitted". My head measures 59ish-cm so I went with a LARGE. Initial fit was a little tight (predominantly around my forehead).
what's your head circumference in cm? and what sort of head shape? head shape sometimes determines what fits, and what doesn't fit a given brand, even if the cm range is the same for a given size, IMO - eg if you have pressure points in a certain helmet.Hey fjohn, considering purchasing the Leatt Enduro 4.0 in a large sight-unfitted as I am also a huskier headed gent and wondered what helmets you have had in the past as a guide for fit. Appreciate the thoughts of anyone else who has used the Leatt helmets too.

That's exactly why I am trying to get some feedback on those who have used the Leatt before. No idea what head shape I have as always just gone with Big! I have a 62cm head and the Large Leatt Enduro 4.0 is 59-63 so in theory should work but my Smith Maze Mips ski helmet is XL 63-67 and a firm fit, similarly with my Thor Sector moto helmet it's a XXL 62-65cm. Currently using a Fox Flux L/XL which is 59-64cm. I would love to try one on but living rurally there are none around.what's your head circumference in cm? and what sort of head shape? head shape sometimes determines what fits, and what doesn't fit a given brand, even if the cm range is the same for a given size, IMO - eg if you have pressure points in a certain helmet.
Legend thanks for your feedback. Between you and Yuley in the Buxton thread you have just made my wallet $330 lighterThe leatt gravity I bought replaced a giro remedy full face.
My half lid is also a giro
Has anyone tried the 7IDP PROJECT 23 ABS? It's on special at Echelons Sports.
ABS is the cheap one. It's also comes in fibreglass and carbon. We have a fibreglass here that #1 son wears as his full enduro helmet.
The ABS price is mighty tempting, is ABS a bad choice though?
I ended up with a Leatt that breathes quite well considering the coverage and protection. There are lighter more breathable options around but for $212 (on sale) it was a steal.Doing a Bright,Vic run in the next few weeks, I have been recommended to use a fullface if possible.
Haven't had one for a while, had a decent off in a 'Kali' Branded BMX one a few years ago (was going to replace with similar from BackBone BMX but MTB stuff probably a bit breezier), what should I be looking for?
Doesn't need to be convertible/carbon etc, just something decent that I may get a few years out of at a decent price.
We are moving to Brisbane full time in the next year or so, ideally will be semi breathable in that respect.
Ended up buying the newest Proframe without the Boa from 99 bikes, had to return a runout model that was $300 (good deal if you can find your size) and I got the new one for a good price after some back and forth when returning the runout one. Turns out the inner frame is same size as the fox half face helmets, so good to know when buying online as some people say the Troy lees are a bit of a size difference to their half shells (not sure how true as I was set on trying and buying instore to get the correct size)I have a fox proframe. It proveds great coverage and breathes very well. One of my friends has a newer version with a boa for superior fit.

Hopefully stands up well in Bright and Qld as my biking style on the downhill is sometimes send and forget without a chicken line lap to sus it out.

Great choice Dan, Proframe is the perfect blend of weight, heat and protection imo.
Definitely want something a little more sturdy than a convertible for places like Mystic Park etc.
