Sooo, your mental issues are purely genetic by nature, where as the rest of us can blame it on the drugs in an earlier life!
Could still be the mushies... They can mess you up for a long time. I only ever had them once, but it was 10 years before I stopped having the occasional flashback. Nasty shit.

I don't think I can even name a single Pearl Jam song, but I don't listen to MMM I guess.
Jesus wept. They, along with Nirvana, created an entire Genre (sub-genre) of music that has lasted for 25+ years and will be around for 25 years more.
Its funny how popularity is uncool and quality music is often frowned upon because people who in turn want to look cool by essentially just listening to what ever one hit wonder ear faeces Triple J has been paid to flush out from their toilet of a radio station.

next everyone will be saying that Queen was just a boy band.

Grunge is still a thing? Really? Wow.

I do still listen to the couple of early PJ albums I have on occasion... they've travelled ok musically despite being up to a quarter century old.

I very much know who they are, but just saying they've not left an impression on me at all. Same with Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, etc. There was way better stuff happening in the 90s to worry about most of the grunge music. Some exceptions, like Nirvana and the Pumpkins (but different influences there). No doubt grunge influenced a whole bunch of stuff, but just because its original, doesn't mean its the best.

I'm a ABC local listener, so cant tell you whats on JJJ or popular these days, its been a long time!

Queen I've never understood either.

Workmate just called Pearl Jam overrated.
The big songs when they were big have stood up against time, but like any 'comeback' song, it's just the same few earwowm lines repeated repeatedly and then passed through autotune to make sure it get stuck in your head.

Watched a video that compared what John Bonham would sound like with today's process. Sounded horrible

He isn't wrong. They had some good songs, but...yawn. I saw them on their first tour and their live performance cemented their position as mediocre. The support act however...well they were about 10% wierd.

They, along with Nirvana, created an entire Genre...
I think you mean commercialised a genre by conforming to a bland cliche image and sound.

Um.....Pearl Jam were the remains of a much earlier great grunge band that STILL didn't create grunge.
I Still love early Nirvana, and saw them live.....but Bleach was the high point before they decided that selling units was the go. Cobain himself said he was emulating others around him in an already strong genre that was yet to be marketed as grunge.
