We have quiet carriages in NSW. They don't work, apparently the large font signage doesn't get the message across. Then the noisy ignorant pricks just make everyone angry. They are a great spot a loud krinkley packet of chips!

Where has the talking on speaker phone come from? Popped over to Melbs recently and caught a train out to the burbs to catch up with a mate.
A lady nearly the whole way on speaker discussing her weekend and family problems and other things on speaker phone. Really.

Found out today wife's cousin has died suddenly. Had liver cancer with no symptoms until the final days. Some minor discomfort. Into hospital for scans and didn't leave. Won't pretend they were close, some weird shit years ago from a disgruntled aunt and then a new hubby and back to the fold. Mid 50s.
Message is: don't assume you are OK. An annual medical costs bugger all money and time and simple blood tests can pick up something early. Goes for ladies and gents.
