Nope, It is heaps quicker probably 15 seconds. The rider that you see in the baggies at 2:41 in the video goes in behind one rider and then exits behind a complete different rider. He made heaps of time.Nice looking track. Is that A line with the rock roll down into the ramp slower than the B line?
This weekend. 0800 start on Sunday 10th. Bring your brushcutter and a love of single track! When's the next build day set for Paterson?
How does the course compare to say Appin in terms of technicality?
Just trying to work out how fast and to what level I have to get the wife's skill level up to before she can confidently ride the B lines......
I've ridden 32x20 on the big wheels so.... 32x18 on little wheels would be a good starting point. There is two climbs that will hurt no matter what gear you use however. Perhaps bring a 19 tooth and swap it at midnightWhat would a good gearing for a SS be with 26" wheels?
So no one will see you?Perhaps bring a 19 tooth and swap it at midnight
There are no rules prohibiting entrants from bringing their own beds.... just saying.Undecided still, sounds like a cool track and race but my bed is so warm and comfy
...and there are no rules about changing ratios mid race either. There are no rules prohibiting entrants from bringing their own beds.... just saying.
Are you sure!? I think that's my point about the bed too!!true, and it used to be done, but the ethics of singlespeed have changed
Much more like the second climb. Perhaps next year we will unearth some fossilized switchbacks however we didn't get time for 2012.if one were to compare the pain that the Paterson climb may dispense upon a soloist rider to say the climbs at the wsc at stromlo, would one say that it is more like the first climb(up the front of Stromlo) or the second(bastard pinchy) climb out the back of Stromlo.
I only request the above information to correctly formulate the chain tension required on my single speed...??
