This is a more honest video to play in our schools:

I asked the Mrs (secondary teacher) who advised she does teach it in her Philosophy class but that is a very small percentage of the year group. She says it's a buzz word and "encouraged" apart from when it diverts from the curriculum so given lip service. Having said that I would say my kids are probably better critical thinkers than I was at their age. We can but try to influence our part of the next generation at home!Unfortunately, I doubt critical thinking will ever be taught in schools. Schools are primarily for socialisation and developing future workers.
Perhaps we need to start alternative schools of thought, similar to the Greeks, that are basically like your wifes' philosophy class full time. Here people could explore and debate philosophy, ethics, etc, as a balance to the learning done in traditional schools which is often more about memorisation than learning to be a better human.I asked the Mrs (secondary teacher) who advised she does teach it in her Philosophy class but that is a very small percentage of the year group. Hahaha!!! Let the green washing begin!AEMO names UK-based renewable energy and transition expert as new CEO
AEMO names a UK-based Australian and an expert in renewable and grid transformation as its new chief executive.reneweconomy.com.au
Christ, I thought I was cynical... This is a good thing - they are cracking on with the decarbonisation of the grid and this appointment sends a signal to investors that renewables is still the way to go.Hahaha!!! Let the green washing begin!
Bwahahahahaaaa!!!!!!!! Leading the world!!!!! Hahahahaa!!!!!“I’m looking forward to collaborating with market participants, policy makers and stakeholders across the energy industry to help inform and shape the best outcomes for consumers as the technology mix undergoes a dramatic transformation,” Mr Westerman said.
“Australia is leading the world in the adoption of renewable energy systems, and AEMO plays a critical role in maintaining a stable supply of power to the millions of homes and businesses that benefit from the energy these systems provide.
Absolutely cynicism is warranted. Believe me, totally justifiedHahaha!!! Cracking on. That's a good one.
The guy used to work for Ford. He's no messiah. Will appointing this guy enable us to hit our 8.5% per annum CO2 emission reduction requirements? He's just another CEO.
Yes I'm cynical, because I have no reason not to be.

As stated earlier, FF growth outpaced renewables in 2018. OUTPACED!“I’m looking forward to collaborating with market participants, policy makers and stakeholders across the energy industry to help inform and shape the best outcomes for consumers as the technology mix undergoes a dramatic transformation,” Mr Westerman said.
