no idea, the top tube was like that when i got it aswell but i sanded it back, was going to do it to the down tube aswell but wanted to ride instead...

thinking of blinging out my hubs and chroming them, anyone agree?

its the heat treating process, blotches of colors come up when you heat treat metal.

its pretty consistant on the downtube for blotches. I guess it depends on how they heat treated it.
