The stable
Figured I would post up some pics of my last build.
The frame is a 90s Colnago Master Pista. Got the frame but the previous owner had painted it a nasty baby spew attempt at gold. Had it resprayed gloss white by Paconi, with black 80s decals.
Spec wise, it's built up with Campagnolo Record cranks, seat post, aero pedals and headset, Nitto RB021 bull horn bars, Cinelli 1R stem, Phil Wood track hubs, cog and lockring with Mavic Open Pro rims, Soma Super Everwear tyre on the rear and Evenflow on the front, Colnago Precisa forks and Brooks B17 narrow saddle, bar tape and toe straps. Also blinged it out with a custom fabricated XXXX Gold handlebar shim. Went with 48/17 ratio which seems to be a good balance around town, especially given I live in a hilly area.
Happy with how it turned out, but there are still plans. Not a huge fan of the B17 seat, if I find some money to burn I might try and continue the italian theme with a leather San Marco saddle, either a regal or rolls. I love the look and feel of the Nitto bullhorns, but will probably consider swapping them out for a nice set of track drops if I come across a set.
Either way, it's a wickedly fast bike and I'm having a hell of a lot of fun riding it...
