Perhaps if we remarket them as riser posts then we could get Cardy on board?
Good plan. It's a dance I've performed many times, but not with a small person in tow.@Cardy George I'd just enter via the lower trailhead and you can take a hard right up the steepest bit of fire track from there.
Saves dancing with death on cement hill
The real difference between ‘decent priced’ and Hope is really sweet FA. Isn’t $100 or so well worth it if you’re going to the hassle and expense of building up a wheel?Decent priced 32h boost centrelock XD rear hub?? Dont need anything flash just something reliable.

I was talking to some people that run 160mm on the rear so they don't launch forward when modulating a manual, I was curious to see if this was a common thing for riders to do. I'm definitely going to be running a 203mm on the front! As per previous discussions, a lot of folk only run a 180mm rotor on the rear of their hardtails (myself included). Some brakes with more modulation (like SRAM or Hopes) you might get away with a 203mm, but it's still a lot.
I run 160 on the back of most of my bikes. Nothing to do with modulation. I'm a ram counter! Plus there is less warping.Has anyone downgraded their rear rotor to a 160mm to improve modulation? (Particularly on a hardtail).
I still always giggle when people confuse SRAM lack of power with modulation. As per previous discussions, a lot of folk only run a 180mm rotor on the rear of their hardtails (myself included). Hopes are not a lot better in that regard. Do love being able to get a feather-touch out of 'em though without feeling like I've dropped anchor.I still always giggle when people confuse SRAM lack of power with modulation.
Just get arthritis in your hands - all brakes have modulation thenI still always giggle when people confuse SRAM lack of power with modulation.

See...by shaving those micro grams I can jump like sheep number 2!
But if you had 200's, you could have avoided crashing into the barn like sheep #1See...by shaving those micro grams I can jump like sheep number 2!
That sheep just needs to learn how to control the jump! Too long, overshoot, Barn sale. But if you had 200's, you could have avoided crashing into the barn like sheep #1
