Yeah it's not great. Facing either an attempted attack or (more likely) some pretty severe fragmentation as thousands of MAGAs and Qanons realise beyond all doubt that Trump is no longer President and nothing is going to change that and that "trust the plan" isn't working.

Nope. In a preferred Republican 2024 candidate just taken, Pence was still miles ahead at around 50%. Thankfully Cruz was 6% and Hawley 1%.

I think the New York tax investigations are first cab off the rank - but probably not before the Senate votes to either convict or not for his role in the insurrection.
Rumours are also abounding he's going to launch his own political party called the PATRIOT PARTY (obvs). Which, if true will keep the Democrats in power for a zillion years as the PATRIUTS split the conservative vote between themselves and the Republicans. Sounds pretty good.

Yeah maybe.. although the amount of dirty laundry that's now getting aired by disgruntled Republicans pissed they've lost the Senate and shocked by the Capitol riot might kill those chances. Also no way Trump is going to consider a coalition unless he's in charge.
Still reckon the biggest danger in 2024 isn't Trump but some other conservative populist with a large following, like one of the Fox commentators or Joe Rogan hijacking the primaries...

There's still the inauguration to come..
Pathetic to the last, Trump will be having his own send off. There won't be 21 gun salute or any military parade he really, really wanted, or Pence, or Republicans, or anyone normal (who'll all be at the actual inauguration) so they're evidently a bit desperate for attendees. Invited guests include people who've publicly sledged him for years, and the official invite allows for 5 plus ones...
