Finally cracked the shits enough with internal routing to order a Park internal routing kit. Also pulled the freehub off to check on the 'Fovno' 60t DT ratchet.. not looking great so far, has noticeably worn on the teeth after just one day riding at Derby. Will run until it strips, but am carrying the original star ratchet around in expectation it'll fail.

My anecdotal evidence supports your proposition. I used to work in a coffee bar that serviced groups of $$$ American tourists arriving by luxury cruise ship...it is a role I am glad to have left behind.
