Random question - do your tyres have little X's in the dust* on the sidewalls after a ride (typically mostly/only on the rear)? If so your tyres are rolling/folding while cornering.

(*If you're lucky to have dust and not bog conditions at the moment!)

Both my tyres weep sealant as I rode mine at ~20psi for too long as a >100kg fatty

It is the Faulconbridge Point trail at the lower Blue Mountains. A dead easy trail but great to build confidence for the occasional rider. There are standard government issue waterbars you can hit for fun. The views alone are worth a visit. It seems to be more popular than I thought.

First ride on actual single track since my hip misadventure. Some local knarly pine trails… roots aplenty. Hardly epic, just 40 Minutes of fun.

Fricken blackberries were murder…

As much as I love feature rich trails with great fun and action to them, sometimes I just like pedalling the bike outside on a lovely day.

The local spot still has closed trails so I took the big bike for some fireroad training.
Having removed the Fox 38's at 170mm for the Lyrik at 150mm it's definitely more spry on the climbs.

Managed to find an hour to finish off teh Nicolai build.
Shake down ride in the morning to make fitting and position adjustments.

I retract this statement. A few tweaks and this feels as I remember. An absolute blast. 27.5 isn’t dead
