What did you do TO / WITH / FOR your bike today!

crashed it 🤦🏻 happened very quickly when I put the front wheel on the outer edge of a corner which was soft like sand but looked like hardpacked dirt. No damage to me or bike, a few sore muscles in my left arm which I landed on. Had to smack the bars back into alignment. Not much riding done this break, just the first and last days. Had fun butView attachment 413248
I do laugh a bit at those marks that head off the trail that you see sometimes and wonder how big a moment that might have been.

Completed attempt #325 at making a clamp mount for the Gloworm remote. This one is using a cheap bell clamp so not as low profile as previous efforts. Still feels alright.

I rode to work. I misread the start time so arrived an hour early. Not wanting to waste the time I engaged in some not whs compliant street freeride around the venue. Up and down some small stair cases, Huck the retaining wall, Huck the retaining wall bigger, bunny hop the grassy slope, go bigger, ride the sneaky goat track, do it faster...it was a good 40 minutes in the end.

Well, that went well.

Dropper wasn't full extending as snappy as it should. Thought a service with dash of lube would sort it out.

Got it all back together and now the seat rotates like a merry go round. Fahn 'ell...

It seems that I have been blessed with a blue lower bushing which is supposed to be replaced with an updated grey one. That is likely the issue, but in the meantime back to rigid post lyfe. At least it extends properly again.

Oh well....I guess you can't just put it back together and carry on.

Spinning around seems like a pin issue ? The bush holds the pins from dropping down ?

I'm intending to do my Revive soon, will be interesting then 🙄

I’m back.

Dumped it twice though. I’m rusty.

Fuck I’m sore this morning. First off was a simple slide out in soft gravel hitting a corner too fast.

Second was brutal; just started a descent and didn’t see a hefty log to the side of the trail and it caught the right side pedal and stopped me dead. Well the bike stopped dead, I managed to absorb some of it but still did a graceful cartwheel over the handlebars. Surprised no damage done to bike or body considering.

Anyway, was good to get 20km into the legs and catch up with boys after 12 months MIA.

Yep, that seems to be it from what I understand so far. The bushing holds the pins up.

The blue bushing must not be reinstalled and you need the grey one which must have some anti-rotational magic built in.
How you know if you have the blue or grey one before the first service is a guess. Get a spare and keep it handy to avoid an 'Oh f^&8 it' moment.

Your stories of hitting the dirt are way too often
That is a concern given I’m not the most frequent of riders. 😬

Don’t think I do put the bike down that often. Although the first one last night was on a trail I was only riding for the second time, and was the second off I’ve had on that particular trail. 🤦🏻‍♂️

There was an angry indivudal on MTBR asking Sacki to issue a recall for posts with the blue seal just got brushed off Surely as a gesture of good will they would send a new seal if your post has the blue seal of doom.
