What did you do TO / WITH / FOR your bike today!

Raced it with some mates and crashed it twice lol. But all in all a fun day on the bike 👌

Legs were pretty sore from Thursday nights ride so decided last night there’d be no Sunday morning ride. Wake up at 5.15am and definitely not feeling it and decide to make breakfast and settle in to watch others ride on youtube.

Next thing I know is there’s a time jump and its 6.30am and I’m in a magical forrest with stairs and drops everywhere.

Riding solo I tell myself I should take it easy but I’m preparing for the Hardline Tasmania Invitation that’s inevitably coming in the mail and get a bit carried away. Take a drop I’ve always b-lined and bottom out front and rear for the first time in my life. Check the bike over given the noise and all looks good. Next smaller drop and there’s a smaller crack and suddenly the left crank is gone… 🤦🏻‍♂️

Hopefully just a bad dream and I wake up soon to a rideable bike.

@ozzybmx - no crashed to report this time 👍

Done the classic 'loose bolts on the LH crank-arm' trick? Or straight-Rampaged it and ripped it apart through it's very core...?

*former. Reconsidering my freeride career now.

Reconsider no more! Free freeride goon life tutorials and mentoring with every crank purchase. You too can Huck to flat and live.

Here he is.

That is some good aero

Done the same thing a while back, though I am nearly sure I didn't tighten the 2 bolts.

The spindle is fine, just stripped about 50% of the crank arm splines. My cranks stayed on though with the plastic tensioner is still in place.

Took the advice and took off my rotors and gave them a scrub ; they're not perfect but a lot better. Also gave the bike a wash and dry, lubed the chain though it probably needs replacing. Should last for a bit.

before and after :)
