Yup, silver Thomson in a steel frameOuch... that looks awfully like a Thomson that got stuck into a steel frame. Yikes!
Yup, I had to go the extreme option, caustic.did you pour something into the frame to dissolve the aluminium?
Depends on how well stuck it is, I had the bb out and was tipping Penetrine down the inverted seat tube every day for about 2 weeks.https://www.repco.com.au/en/brands/crc/crc-penetr8-spray-400g/p/A9439984
This stuff works heaps better than WD40.
I’d spray it in through the BB and invert frame, and leave it for a few hours/overnight.
I look nothing like @johnny avatarGot it out like he opens a beer, with his teeth!
it works better than WD40 though.Depends on how well stuck it is, I had the bb out and was tipping Penetrine down the seat inverted seatube every day for about 2 weeks.
Yeah, ditch the WD40, may as well piss on it.it works better than WD40 though.
Not a fan of raw finish but this one arouses me.Began the finishing to turn a bike raw. Going to take a while. Still got to clean up more around the welds but the finish it what I was after.
I'll hit the Bunnings tonight and have another go at it.it works better than WD40 though.
Got it in one. Will do a side by side when they are finished. I may not use original bolt covers yet.XTR M9020?
Which one?Look at that poor old Priceline, sorry I meant Raceline, hanging up there
Growing old is mandatory. But growing up is optional!Going a bit stir crazy with not being able to go propper MTBing.
So stuffed around down the driveway seeing if I could still pull off some of my tricks from younger days.
Should a 39yo really be doing this stuff lol. But hey makes me feel like a kid again!
