It actually cuts power ten or more seconds before tremors start. Something to do with pre-seismic waves or something IIRC.
Wonder what the stopping distance is from 350kph...It actually cuts power ten or more seconds before tremors start. Something to do with pre-seismic waves or something IIRC.
Would probably be a little like that first contact between plane and tarmac.Wonder what the stopping distance is from 350kph...
The emergency braking distance of the present Shinkansen is just under 4,000 m (E2 series at 275 km/h). If increasing initial braking speed to 360 km/h while leaving the braking performance as-is, the emergency braking distance will extend to as long as approx. 7,000 m.Wonder what the stopping distance is from 350kph...
You have jolted my rusty memory. I remember hearing that one.the network has seismic sensors and can detect the high frequency waves that precede an earthquake - the network kills power and hits the brakes on all trains. It worked in the last big one they had.
Love them feels!Would probably be a little like that first contact between plane and tarmac.
Our dogs the same, sad and sorry when packing to go away until we pack her stuff too!Packin clothes with my little buddy. He’s sooky af, I think he knows I’m leaving.
