What does your day look like?

Tuesday. What can I say. Tuesday, December 10, 2024 can eat a bag of dicks.

Well, it started Monday night, where there was an issue with a cat. So I didn't get to bed until midnight, and didn't actually get to sleep until closer to 2am.

I was supposed to be driving out the gate at 4am to get down to Myrtleford. But due to the lack of sleep, I didn't get out of bed until 4am, to find an empty house water tank. Took a solid 15 minutes to prime the fucking transfer pump. Drove out the gate at 5am.

30 minutes later, hook a left at Hattah, and ten minutes after that, a fucking huge feral pig comes bolting out of the undergrowth on the side of the road. Fucking whump into the side of the car. Fuck.

If it was just the door and running board it would be easy sorted, but no, it's bent the sill panel directly under the pillar. So that's both work utes now requiring hefty panel beating.

Get to Swan Hill and forget to ask for large coffee so receive a thimble.

Pull up on farm, go to find my impact driver. Fuck. It's not even just still at home. It's at the machine dealer I was working at the Saturday before.

Thankfully the actual tractoring work I was there to do went well. But I was still well shagged by the time I arrived at the motel in Beechworth. Just wanted to go for a ride to clear the head and put the crappy day behind me.

But no, Evie had other ideas. UDH bolt cracks loose when I try to take the axle out. I'm putting it down to how tired I was, but it was embarrassingly long before I noticed the second Allen key hole. I did make it out for a half hour roll around though.

Then, as I'm waiting for my Chinese take away to appear.....

Just remember the UDH bolt is is left hand thread, don't be fooled by the torque number and think that regular torque wrenches do right and left had threads, most only torque righty and strip lefty ;)

I don't even own one that goes that high. The Ugga Dugga metre in my wrist said it will be fine.

There is a running joke of wishing one of the kitchen guys happy birthday each shift, same guy each time. He loves it. We loves it. It's a good joke. Often catches staff who don't know the joke off guard and they wish him a happy birthday.

I just wished him happy birthday today, a few staff jumped on board. We all laughed and cheered. Someone asks "when is your actual birthday?"...well it turns out that was last Thursday! I of course wished him a happy birthday on the day and as it turns out...I was the only one! I had no idea.
 
15 and a howling wind was quite the summers holiday in tas with the family. On the plus side drove through derby today and it was swarming. told the hotel in launceston we're headed back there to ride tomorrow and the owner said he built derby and gave us all the best trails to suit each of us. roadie wife is actually really looking forward to some dirt tomorrow
