But seriously, how do the rear suspension linkages work and why would you want your shock in front of the down tube? How much crud would get thrown into it?

That front fork needs to drop down about 50mm or so, and it wouldn't be too bad.Jeez, that Czech company has a lot to answer for -
Ditch the handlebars and cut down the steerer, and it wouldn't be too bad looking. Rear linkage is a little so-so, but I've seen worseI don't know what you lot are on about:
