being older is great because it allows you to get away with irrational behaviour - it becomes excentric rather than crazy to loose your pants in public, flirt outragously with old ladies and mums at school dinners and ride 29ers in 2004.

I'm not quite old enough to get away with the 'crazy old man' excuse quite yet, but am really looking forward to it :clap2:

You know youre getting old when the clothes in your cupboard are on their 3rd or 4th rotation of being cool and uncool, and may now be desirable to hipsters...

You know you're old when a thread like this one has posts by people born while you were already in your final year of school.

when you feel compelled to vent your spleen at somebody, ... regardless of the actual reason.

I was parked on the footpath which is part of a 5 car driveway mind you ... waiting for my kids to jump in the car ... left about half the foot path easily accessible ... but an old coot and a roadie, had to press his brakes and slow from 15kph to 12kph* for 2.5meters ... and he felt compelled to give me the evil eye and yell shizzle.

Anyway, I vented my spleen back and my 5yo looked at me and asked, "why did you scream that for dad" ... :wacko:

* actual numbers may vary

when the only races they can place you in over a full weekend is against girls 7 years younger than your own youngest child.

When skateboard tricks only consisted of "tic tac's" and "wheelie's". The only time all four wheels left the ground was when you jumped off a gutter.

..when you remember a time when Bathurst was more than a two horse race.
Really? I used to pretend to want to watch as a kid (to get out of church, lol). It was Brockock/Moffatt then, then Brock/johnson. I haven't watched in nearly 30 years, but surely it's more open now than then?
