I currently have a Giant Talon 1 29er, and while the gears shift "fine", the actuation is rather casual. Is this due to the lower spec groupset X5 SRAM, or just a MTB querk? Will a top o the line f/d and r/d solve this? Thanks in advance.

FYI, Aldi have bike repair stands for $70ish I bought one and it is pretty stable and holds my Giant Talon 0 29er just fine. Get em while they're hot. Disclaimer : I do not have any "business interests" in Aldi, I am just trying to spread the word.
