Confessions from the fuckwits

Morgan Blue Aquaproof Paste works similarly but is more affordable.
looks interesting; price is same as the Motorex but it's a bigger tub. Probably 2 lifetimes worth lol.

It says it's very adhesive; does that mean it's just a really tacky grease, or does it have a holding function?

It feels like a very thick hair gel when being applied.

There is a warning on the side of the jar, apparently

Got the bike out of the car at the trail, thought I’d check the rear shock pressure as I’d had to top it up last time. OK now the negative bladder (DVO Topaz) hmm a little top up, must have lost a bit connecting the pump. Two strokes in and it loses most of the 200psi WTF has the bladder thing failed ? Tryna go for a farken ride FFS 🤦🏻
While fiddling around I notice the barrel of the pump is loose so nip it up and retry pump. Phew all ok 200psi thank you very much.
Better put something on the pump threads to prevent a repeat episode.

I hate it when I am only 2 strokes in and I lose my pressure 😅

Any car park bike twiddling tempts the all seeing trail gods to give you a back hander.
When we think 'This will just take a minute' then you just know that something out there will be stacking the odds against you.

Ha! I did this with the track car before a street sprint a few years back. Guess who watched rather than participated? Later discovered I had dislodged a small earth wire that was wedged rather than screwed in position until I fucked about tidying up the harness.

Currently putting up two shade cloths to negate the afternoon sun on the majority of our west facing windows so off to bunnings I go for the supplies.

COTFW dot points first bunnings visit:

  • Need 8 hook and eye turnbuckles, only bought 4.
  • Get home to find two of the 4 turnbuckles are actually double eye turnbuckles.
2nd bunnings visit:

  • Return the 4 turnbuckles, as I realise they are too big also.
  • Buy the 8 hook and eye turnbuckles I actually need and while I'm there I buy a 2 pack of hook dyna-bolts.
  • Get to the car and realise I bought a 2 pack of eye dyna bolts 🤦‍♂️

Ok last week I discovered that when I wound the pins in shorter on my first proper flat pedals and then realised that might make the risk of slipping and copping a shin strike worse, I wound them back out again - I missed one side so one of the four sides wasn't quite as grippy as the rest. This possibly explains the difficulty I sometimes have getting my right foot settled in the right spot just before hitting a jump or bit of hairy terrain. Had been putting it down to my shoes getting pretty worn.

Lately I get my gear on at home so I can pull the bike out at the trail and get going quickly, and have started pulling the knee pads only as far as my calves and of course I ended up realising at the halfway point of a ride that I hadn't pulled them on properly.

Now imagine how you'd feel if your nearest Bunnings was an hour and three quarters away. I know this feeling. So I shop online. And I'm still shit at it.
