The Socialist Republic of Canberra has always been pretty on the ball with these sort of things - the trick is getting the Feds attention for a scheme like this...

Yeah my wife was talking about it this morning, we're going to look at house battery and induction cooktop (to delete gas from our house entirely) on an interest free loan, and were planning to never buy another ICE anyway so rego is a great sweetener.

It doesn't look like my conversion vehicle will qualify but that's not clear yet, and not sure we're ready to get a replacement for the daily driver ICE yet but quite possibly by 2023.

Canberra is a progressive place, one of the reasons I live here. We're also getting some sweet MTB trails and skateboarding facilities from last year's election promises.

If I owned my house here id be jumping on the solar and appliances upgrades. The house I do own is in Hobart, and there is basically no reason to add solar for environmental reasons given the power is all Hydro - and the economic argument is less certain. I'll look more into when i move down there...

wouldnt be an issue if there was a bloody carbon price and the grid generators were made to sort their shit out...

This is an interesting watch.
As an engineer I really like Sandy’s videos and to see these two talk you can see why Tesla is really shaking things up.

It's all a shitty mess.

FF powered cars are only possible because of FF taxpayer support.

And Telsa may not exist today without being able to sell regulatory credits to others:

Since 2012, Tesla has made more than $US1.7 billion selling regulatory credits to other automakers.
Shit show all over.

I think the model s plaid does 0-100 in 2.1 and the plaid+ due end of year does 0-100 in <2.1.
Both over 1000hp. Pretty insane 0-100 time for a 4 door saloon worth $220k. Gunna be a lot of egg starting to form on supercar manufactures faces in the next month or so who charge 3 times as much for slower 0-100 times. Granted, it ain’t all about acceleration, but still.

I don’t know how much of it was a troll but Elon was on Joe Rogan the other day and he was discussing how they are working on a way to get the next release to hover or at very least have a thrust rocket on the rear :) lol
